Meet the Stylist>>

​

     Kate McMahon is a fashion stylist in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area. She is currently studying business and fashion at Fordham University in New York City. All of the looks featured on the "work" portion of this website were personally styled by and the pictures edited by Kate. She has experience in retail as well as working with professional models, and is a practicing stylist. Kate has experience interning in New York with the production team of the past two Victoria's Secret fashion shows (2016 & 2017), and is taking the knowledge she has gained from working with industry professionals to create her own specific styling technique. She spend the past summer working for a local store owner in the Scranton area organizing photoshoots and assessing social media marketing strategies. She has experiencing designing and is very familiar with sketching, pattern drafting,  machine and hand sewing, and clothing construction. This gives her a comprehensive understanding for how clothing is crafted and how different textiles interact with one another. Kate is an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, with a very unique creativity and a true love for expression through fashion. Personal Style>>

     Kate is a firm believer in shopping consignment as fashion is the second most environmentally unsustainable industry right behind oil. She regularly shops second hand stores and loves to thrift because who doesn't like vintage?! Her style is an eclectic mix of edgy and femme clothing with some retro flair. She aims to always keep things funky by pairing unusually pieces together to cultivate a unique and fun style that is constantly being influenced and evolving. She firmly believes in the power and self expression available to everyone through their clothing, and the communicative outlet that is styling.
